Incredible eyes in his 80s.

He still has twinkle eyes even in his 80’s. I feel ‘Hope’ in his eyes. His eyes are unclouded and vibrant.

Eyes of human being are being closed as people are getting old. But, the old men who are facing up to the reality has the eyes that have wide eyed look and curiosity.

Morihei Ueshiba has eyes with courageous and without fear even in his 80s. He still has beautiful eyes which has a ability of trust. This straight eyes are fair in judgement and are the eyes which of the person who trust oneself and others. Therefore, I guess he is naturally pure and awkward to deliver a conclusive shot to his social development. 

He also has eyes that had reflected on himself until he arrived at the truth and that realized his full potential. 

Something like a sense of mission and almighty reside in the eyes of people which experienced mystery and arrived at the truth. After Morihei Ueshiba’s 50s, I feel it in his eyes, although I did not feel in Gozo Shioda in later years.

Morihei Ueshiba increases the strength of eyes as getting old. Also, his eyes are soft. 

The portrait in his 40s is unreliable. That is, He did not know himself for long time, even in his 40s. Therefore, he challenged to do many things including inadequate things for his life. So, his selection after his 50s has a persuasive power.

In Ueshiba 50s’ photo, I feel him with no age and no gender. From his eyes, I feel that he is sure of himself and comes back from depression.

Above all, I feel he continued to have pure heart from birth to death. Although he was born in 19 century, I feel that he is still universal.  

凄い眼です

最晩年の植芝先生、歳をとっても眼の輝きを失っていません、希望を感じます

自分を信じて一生を全うした人の眼で、ここまで自分を信じきれるのかと思うほどの澄んだ力強さがあります
この年齢でこれだけ眼が澄んでいるということは信じる力が社会性に致命傷を与えるほど不器用で、純粋な方だったんだろうと想像します

普通は歳をとると眼はショボショボして小さくなっていくものなんですが、
植芝盛平という人の眼はむしろ見開いていて「まだ見てやるぞ」という恐れない眼、勇気ある眼をしてます
つまり、現実を直視し続けた人の眼は歳をとっても見開いてますし、好奇心が感じられます

そして真っ直ぐにこっちをみています
物事を公平にジャッジし、同時に人を信じる眼差しを感じます
真理に気づくまで自分を誤魔化さず受け取る側でいた、自分の可能性をやりきった人、というイメージを受けます

また神秘体験をしたり真理に気づいた人のその眼には、驕っているわけではないんですが、使命感と全能感のようなものが宿ります
不思議なんですが、一方的に与えるような眼差しになります
植芝先生は50歳頃からそういう眼をもっていますね、そして人は一度こういう眼になると一生変わらない

年代を経るごとに眼の力強さが増しています
力強さと同時に優しい澄んだ眼にも感じます

40歳頃をみると、まだどこか頼りない
自分を信じきれてない雰囲気があります
つまり、長い期間に渡り、世の中の色々な事や自らを知らなかったことで、自分の向かないことにも挑戦できて、無理ができた気がします
未熟な期間が長かったからこそ、50歳以降の植芝先生には選んだものに重みを感じます

50歳頃になると植芝先生の眼から依頼心は消え、もう年齢や性別も感じさせません
安定など求めていない、絶望して深いところから確信して蘇ってきた眼差しです

何よりも植芝盛平という人は何歳になっても心がとても美しい、とても素直なまま人生を全うされたんだと感じました
100年以上前に生まれた人なのに今日でも圧倒的な普遍性を感じます
